Failure (n.) - lack of success

I have, so far, in my what-should-have-been-relatively-simple-and-thus-completed-in-a-short-space-of-time 'Modern Folklore' project, only done this:

There is more on the way, but logically, the way I'm working, the base images should take a maximum of two days. That is the goal.

Things that I have only now bothered to scan

Not sure what this was about.

Shadowy faces.

Lemurs and parrots from a wildlife park day trip.

One of the doodles from Modern Folklore - this one is a Domovoi

Dwarves wear stilts to fit in. I'm yet to do the see-through image

The Lambton Wyrm - Pre-study.

A study in ink for my Modern Folklore self-set project (although I'm ignoring 'modern' to get a feel for the original story right now). I've ignored some major parts of the plot to get a hold of the basic theme, then I'll probably expand in some other quick pieces to include some interesting facets like the spearhead armour and the witch.

It's not supposed to look so Mignola-inspired, but he's stuck in my head right now, and when I'm not working constantly, I become something of an artwork aubergine, absorbing the flavours I come into contact with. I'm enjoying working in black and white at the moment, though.

Riiiight. I haven't posted in ages, but I have excuses, which are threefold.

Excuse 1: End of year uni work was INSANE. I was working solidly down to the last. At some point I'll post bits from it, though they really only work in the format I've presented them in for hand-in.

Excuse 2: I have been carefully generating ideas for a self-set project to occupy myself for a bit.

Excuse 3: I don't really have an excuse three, but things in threes are persuasive, right?

I'm not planning on giving too much away at an early stage, although that's not really of too much consequence, as I don't think there's many people reading this.
