Beekeeping Project
The bridging project from year 1 to year 2 is about learning a new skill, preferably one you'd have been unlikely to do otherwise. After attempting some other bits and bobs, I settled on beekeeping.
Tester/concept page for comic idea. Ink, watercolour, alcohol pens.
Sampler page from sketchbook. Ink, watercolour, acrylic, glue, and photo-collage.

All-black ink tester page. Toying with the idea of using pure black and white for dark spaces. This was helpful in learning what to obliterate with the ink and what was needed to describe form and tone. Also a compositional tryout.
Another trial page. I focused more on what I could ignore, like the walls of the tunnel, as the essential information is the beekeeper. I prefer this to the last one as it removes clutter and looks cleaner.

Further Bird and Lambton Wyrm WIP
I hate having no idea what to do with an image that you spent ages working out. I need to get my brain to refresh on this one, but I don't know how.

Failure (n.) - lack of success
I have, so far, in my what-should-have-been-relatively-simple-and-thus-completed-in-a-short-space-of-time 'Modern Folklore' project, only done this:
There is more on the way, but logically, the way I'm working, the base images should take a maximum of two days. That is the goal.
